"Burnley mental health: Nursing has changed my mind set "

About: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I have needed an operation and would like to compliment senior nurse J Sumner on the care and compassion that she gave me during my stay on C18.

She showed me respect and dignity throughout. She was there for me prior and after my operation.

Her nursing, both emotional and physical, has changed my mind set on whether I put the work to live through the issues that I have.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience by staff from PICU on the care and compassion that the nurse gave you during your stay on C18. It is really important our staff hear what you valued most during care with us. The staff nurse you have mentioned will be delighted to read such good feedback about how she was able to help you and we will make sure this gets passed back to her.
