What I liked

I have tried and tried to concel an appointment and find it impossible as when the switchboard transfers my call the next line is engaged, I have asked for email and fax number but have got no response from switchboard.

We're sorry to hear about your experience. Our lines do get busy, but we've recently invested in additional systems to help ensure that we answer calls about booking as quickly as possible.

It helps us when patients who wish to cancel an appointment can do so easily, so that we can offer it to another patient.

If you are an outpatient, and you cannot make an appointment and need to cancel or rearrange, then please call our Hospital Booking Team at the site you are attending. Please be ready to give your hospital number and appointment details along with the reason of your cancellation. Please contact us on 0161 778 2233 - the line operates between 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday and 9am-1pm Saturday. Alternatively please e-mail us at Booking@pat.nhs.uk

Please provide your Hospital number and name with all e-mail communication.

If you are an in-patient, ie booked to be admitted, then you should contact our booking teams as follows:
