"Worst ever"

About: Ealing Hospital

Anything else?

I was quite a young mum at the time so I hadn't a clue about the options available to me in terms of choosing hospital. Having had my children at this hospital including ante-natal care and I few other mothers I know, I can say that it is the worst hospital in the whole of London!! The midwife staff were rude and always seemed overworked and rude and they are really understaffed by both doctors and nurses. One particular time, when asked when the doctor would be arriving after having waited 5hrs (without exaggeration)to see one, the nurse snapped at me telling me I wasn't the only pregnant person in the ward and that I could take some painkillers while waiting again. Now I know I am no Dr but being pregnant avoiding as much drugs (unless its vital vitamins) should really be avoided and are no cure to waters breaking! The midwifes in labour ward just sit by reception have tea and biscuits having laughs. The wards were always dirty and toilets too> seemed like being in A&E of ealing hospital (and we all know how how that is) but with prettier colours. There was the odd midwife who would be very helpful, three of them being the best people I could ask for and trust to help me with a healthy pregnancy. This team was super helpful and gave me as much advice as my brain could soak as well as always checking up on me and sorting problems I and I super grateful they made at least some of my maternity care enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend anyone having ante-natal care here esp giving birth if they want to give the best possible start to their baby. I think they should close the place down and seriously question to whether it is healthy to provide maternity care in this hospital.
