"Opthalmology Clinic ECH"

About: Essex County Hospital

Anything else?

I have three direct family members who need to attend the Opthalmology Clinic regularly because of a history of glaucoma. On each of their last three visits the clinic has been running over 90 minutes late which is clearly unacceptable and is very off putting when you need to attend every 6 months. The consultation process is good but the appointment allocation needs to be sorted out desperately.

Response from Essex County Hospital

I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. I will find out what has gone wrong. In the meantime could you email me, using the reference “Ophthalmology at RDEEB-Essex County Hospital at 18/09/2013 14:46:31 ”, please? I will then be able to let you know the outcome. Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
