"a little disappointed"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Anything else?

My partner recently gave birth at the hospital she was admitted on a friday and the baby didn't arrive until wednesday during this time she was treated like royalty and very well looked after with the upmost respect and dignity and we both cant thank and praise the staff that worked downstairs enough from the lady at reception the midwives and the team that operated on her all of the which were amazing. After an hour in recovery my partner was transferred upstairs while she was there she saw a number of doctors and other medial professionals to which some seemed to contradict others one also tried to bully her into breast feeding even though she didn't want to and this was explain'd but she persisted. Even worse one of the doctors wasn't sure weather it was my partner or my 12 hour old daughter that required the antibiotics this happen'd on 3 more instances we both felt like there was a lack of communication and passage of information between the ward doctors ward staff and us. After we got home and read her post natel notes it doesn't appear to be filled in there are small parts done but a lot that i would have thought would have been filled in hasn't. Also we don't think that if the curtain is shut it is necessary for the lady that makes the food to open the curtain while she was in a position she felt embarrassing to tell her dinner was here surly she could just have told her. Finally we were supposed to have a midwife visit today bearing in mind the baby has a poorly eye, tummy and jaundice and my partner had a c section she didn't turn up even though my partner phoned at 15.45 and was told she would definitely be coming After what started as the best experience we have had with a hospital turned out to be the worst.
