Anything else?
My visit was for an Angiogram Cardiology test and involved a day visit to Ward 20. For all concerned in my welcome, general care, treatment and their friendliness my thanks go to everyone of them. The ward was well run, clean and a credit to the staff. The staff memeber who took charge of me when I arrived, asked me a list of questions and explained what was going to happen. Although I was number 6 and last in the list for the test I did not feel like a number, I felt important to the staff. Just what you need when your nerves are all over the place. The doctor and his team conducted the Angiogram, the process was explained to me and the test caused me no problem. The team where friendly, professional and I now they had my health as their pirority and I would have no problem placing my life in their hands. The complaint I have is with the information sent with the appointment. In it was a blood test form and instructions to inform my doctor. I did not need to inform the doctor. It also said leave valuables at home, but a lockup cupboard was provided for money/phone etc. It also said it was possible stitches could be necessary after the Angiogram but actually stitching is no longer done after this test. Minor points in an otherwise well organised day. Thanks again Allan Furness
