Was admitted for tonsillectomy due to repeated infections. They said i would have to stay Overnight because of sleep apnea. All the staff were great from my arrival right through to My discharge. Doctors could see i was nervous (first ever surgery) and did their best to make me feel more relaxed. Surgery went well and although was waiting in recovery a long Time before i could be moved to ward, i was very well looked after. At ward was made very comfortable and well looked after. Especially a male nurse Had fantastic attitude and dedication dispite being obviously overworked and short staffed he still did his best for everyone in his charge. When he went home (later than he should) The night staff took over and also were attentive and caring. When the nurse arrived next day was still full of smiles for everyone and generally doing all he could for us. Was told that i would be released that day and although that was at 9 am wasn't realeased untill late afternoon. While this was a long wait nurses seemed to keep chasing it up so i know wasn't their fault. Was given plain instructions for my pain killers and released wigh a good supply. In short Staff were fantastic and ward was clean. This experience was many times better than i thought it would be and i would recomend this hospital and ward whole heartedly.
