Having heard negative reports I was anxious about my in-patient stay at the hospital. Although I was only in for 24 hours I could not fault my treatment. The nursing and surgical teams were efficient, friendly, caring and attentive without exception. Beech ward was clean, light and airy, I was very comfortable. My only criticism is the food. Coming round from a general anaesthetic at 5.30pm starving hungry I was only offered a rather stale tasteless cheese sandwich at 10pm. The first I had eaten in 26 hours.
