Anything else?
My start point was that I hated hospitals for their grumpy staff, filth and rotten processes. As soon as I walked in here I felt something was different. I asked or directions and the receptionist was polite and helpful. An nhs first for me. Then the walk to my destination I just noticed cleanliness, efficiency, friendliness. I was stunned to see a member of staff come and address a whole waiting area to apologise and explain the delay and the waiting situation and then he wrote a message on the board explaining the situation. The nurse I dealt with was funny, friendly and reassuring. On her advice I went for breakfast. Now hospital food was the reason for me giving up meat 17 years ago after a terrible experience. I had a fab breakfast and left smiling. It was just an unexpected and surprising experience. Some thought has gone into Hammersmith Hospital and it shows. I thought they had all given up on a customer care attitude but clearly not. Very well done. Cannot believe I am enthused about a hospital .
