I arrived to Worcester Hospital to see the consultant who works in the Neurology area. Upon Arriving with my mom, step-dad and my girlfriend we paid £1 for a wheelchair because my girlfriend had an injection in her foot. Anyway, after getting the wheelchair we arrived to the Clover Suite at the hospital. We were approached by the nurse who asked for my appointment letter. I gave it to her but she snatched it out of my hand and went out back to the Doctor. 5 minutes later she came back out and sent me to the Consultant. When I walked into the room I said "Hello" to him, he did not reply to me. I said "How are you", his reply was a mumble. He then asked for my girlfriend to come in to explain what happened to me in April and why I blacked-out. I brought my girlfriend into the room and he immediately asked "Why are you in a wheelchair? Are you a patient at this hospital? What's wrong with your foot?" my girlfriend then has to explain why she has been having loads of problems with her foot and after that the Doctor just rolled his eyes and looked back at me and said, "Nothing wrong with you, I don't want to do tests on you because you haven't had an episode for 6 months". Bearing in mind I had an appointment come through the post in July which was cancelled because the doctor decided to go on holiday for 2 months. I was not impressed with him because he made me and my girlfriend feel useless and also he acted like he didn't want to be there and that he didn't want to help me because I was a teenager. He said in his own words "I don't want to help you because there is nothing wrong with you or your girlfriend". This made me very angry because its was MY appointment and had nothing to do with my girlfriend apart from her trying really hard to explain what happened. Absolutely ridiculous! Never before have I seen a doctor decide not to help at all.

I am very sorry to hear that you had a poor experience with the neurology outpatient department and also felt that the consultant was unhelpful. Unfortunately as the post is anonymous I am unable to investigate this fully as I do not know what day your clinic appointment was, nor who you appointment was with.
