"Left to wait with no diagnoses or treatment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

It was ok but the waiting times need to be cut. 6 weeks for an ultrasound scan for liver/gallbladder is too long, and then another 7 weeks to see a consultant is too long.

Gallbladder pain is severe and affects many people. This I realise, but to be left to wait and wait for so long with no diagnoses or treatment is not very good.

It is a real drain on my day to day life.

Thank you for your comments.

Unfortunately, whilst TRAQS makes every effort to arrange an earlier appointment at a location of your choice we are unable to influence the waiting times in any way. I am assuming that when you were contacted by us you were given a choice of hospitals, some of which would have meant you travelling a little distance but which might have been able to offer an earlier appointment.

It is always difficult at times when you are in pain that no one is listerning to you but I can assure you that TRAQS makes every attempt to meet the needs of the patient. Nevertheless I do hope that your condition is diagnosed as soon as possible and you receive treatment.
