"Attending A & E via ambulance"

I had the unfortunate experience of having to attend A&E on Tuesday 27th August at approx 10pm. I had been unconscious at home for 45 minutes and an ambulance had been called. Upon my arrival I was placed into a cubicle and told there was a two hour waiting time to see the Dr. They finally arrived, was totally uninterested in me, read my notes informed me that my being unconscious for that length of time was 'nothing' and that I'd lost control of my bowels and bladder due to 'needing a good clear out'. I have a history of TIA's, and was displaying all the symptoms of having had another one ie. numbness of face and right arm, confusion, dribbling from right side of mouth. I was then told I needed to be admitted, but the Dr thought I'd be better at home and discharged me at 5.30am on Wednesday morning. I had to get a taxi home,(which cost me £70), couldn't remember my own address even and the Dr in A & E was fully aware I lived alone. I will never attend this 'hospital' again, regardless of circumstances. Shame on that so called Dr, hang your head and find another profession, preferably not dealing with sick people.
