"Results take forever"

I have a colopscopy on 16th July 2013 as I had an abnormal smear with a high amount of abnormal cells. This was a huge blow for me as I have been trying for a baby for four years and I've had 3 miscarriages, surgery to remove endometriosis, 3 failed IUI treatments and just when I went through the referral process for IVF and everything was good to go I receive news from my smear, which meant i couldnt start IVF until it was sorted. I was referral quickly and the staff were brilliant during the colopscopy, they took 2 biopsies just to make sure treatment was neccessary given the problems it could cause in pregnancy. I was told my results would be back within four weeks. Four weeks passed and nothing, rang up and was told there was a backlog and its now taking upto 6 weeks, however they would look through the pile and if my results were there they would get them sent out to me. 2 weeks later, still nothing. Rang up again and was told that they were in the process of moving offices and there was a backlog of typing to catchup with. I was promised that if my results were there they would get the letter typed up and sent out that day. 3 days later, still nothing. I am now away on holiday and if my results are not waiting for me when I get back home I am seriously going to lose my temper! It's like they don't even understand how much these types of things can impact someone's life. Everything I've gone through is never put on hold because of an office swap, disgusting!
