I was invited for my first breast screening appointment by letter when I reached the age of 50. My appointment was at the Basingstoke Hampshire Hospital mobile unit parked outside the main hospital. I was not looking forward to it and was apprehensive when I turned up for the appointment. The Radiographer who took the 4 pictures couldn't have been nicer or more professional. She completely put me at ease and made what I was anticipating as a very awkward unpleasant experience into not such a bad one after all. Well done the staff at the breast screening mobile unit and thank you for your respect and professionalism.
