I am writing regarding the great experience and extremely high level and quality of care that my wife and I have received from the staff working in the delivery suite. We unfortunately had a stillbirth. We attended the unit after calling with concerns about our baby’s movement. Our care from the initial phone call, through to our assessment and subsequent treatment following the news that our baby had died was excellent. The service was extremely efficient and professional throughout. All the staff gave their upmost care and attention to us both. They physically and mentally supported us throughout the most difficult time of our lives. As a member of the hospital staff my wife felt that the service exceeded her expectations both as a professional and as a patient. In a time where hospital services are very much criticised we have nothing but praise for the delivery suite and hospital.
