"Doctor was very helpful and explained why my results were varying"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I was recommend by my regular GP to see a specialist Doctor about my problems with diabetes as my sugar levels were rising following a changed to my prescribed medication.

My appointment came through fairly quickly and went to see Dr. Bankdak at Sutton Hill Medical Practice.

He was very helpful and explained why my results were varying and what options were available. He discussed my diet and then told me which medication he recommended and why.

I decided to try a different tablet instead of injections and Dr. Bandak then wrote a letter of recommendation to my regular GP, Dr. Shaw.

I then handed in the letter at Stirchley Medical Practice and am now waiting for my prescription to come through.

Thank you for your comments.

TRAQS aims to complete referrals received from GP Practices within 5 working days of receipt, to ensure there is no undue delay for the patient to be seen.

I am pleased to note that your appointment was arranged quickly and when you saw Dr Bandak he explained everything fully to you and you were given options as how to manage your diabetes.

I hope that the course of action which you have taken is of great benefit to you in the future and that the experience of TRAQS has met with your approval.
