"Some of the staff were more understanding ..."

About: Burnley General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Some of the staff were more understanding than others some were overtley rude.

What could be improved

I managed to get my husband to accident and emergency within three hours of him suffering a stroke, he actually walked into the hospital and was able to communicate. It took a week for a diagnosis it took five days before he was given a scan. I think the hospital needs a clear pathway for stroke victims and if they have one the staff need informing of it. The damage my husband has suffered may have been avoided.

Thank you for your comments, The Trust is committed to ensuring that all patients recieve the best treatment and care and a pathway for strokes will be more widely available to staff.
