In these times, it seems of constant criticism about the NHS, I can honestly say everything that could have been done for my dad was done efficiently, with courtesy and respect from all carers concerned. From the moment 999 was called after he suffered a stroke to the wonderful care of the paramedics to the emergency assessment unit and to Victoria Ward. We all felt dad was in good hands with everyone involved striving to do their professional best for him. Please thank all the staff for their care and for keeping us informed of his progress. Despite the very sad situation the atmosphere on the ward was relaxed and the staff seemed to take on their daily challenges with good humour and pride in their role.
