"I felt in good hands"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Maternity

(as the patient),

I recently had a bad fall at 27 weeks pregnant - the staff at the Eliot maternity ward were great

They were busy but took every care over me and my baby-monitoring etc-I felt in very good hands

It was the first time in my pregnancy I wasn't made to feel silly for being worried as my community midwife is not supportive at all so I was naturally worried the maternity unit midwives would be the same -pleasantly surprised - they were wonderful

I'm now feeling good to be having my baby in the Eliot rather than apprehensive

Thank you all

I hope that you are now recovered from your fall and thank you for telling us of the wonderful care in the maternity unit. I have forwarded a copy of your comments to the maternity unit manager who will also look at your comments around the community team.
