"Attitude of staff to my daughter "

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

My daughter attended A&E at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh recently after an injury.

The nurse who treated my daughter was unsympathetic, made her feel stupid and questioned the severity of her injury. The nurses manner was uncaring and at times insulting. The nurse questioned the advice that had been given by health professionals to my daughter before we came to the hospital to other staff in a disparaging manner.

No matter the severity of the illness or injury people deserve to be treated with respect, something this nurse clearly knows very little about

I am sorry that you have had a negative experience regarding your daughter’s care at the Emergency Department of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

The alleged attitude of the nurse would certainly not be acceptable to us and I would ask that you contact our Customer Relations and Feedback Team who can look into this matter for you.
