Cataract day surgery - I attended Airedale General Hospital to have my cataracts removed as a day patient. I had my first operation in June and I was extremely anxious about the procedure beforehand but on the day the staff were very kind and caring. Everything was explained so I understood what would be happening and the staff listened to my worries and were really supportive. I really needn't have worried at all as the operation went smoothly and I made a very good recovery. When I went to have my second cataract operation I knew just what to expect but even so the staff still went to the trouble of explaining things and listening to me. The Surgeon and Anaesthetist were really kind and the nursing staff were brilliant. I can't praise the Hospital enough and am so grateful for all the care I have received. The staff were all cheerful even when they were busy. I would definitely recommend Airedale General Hospital to other patients. It i sa great local Hospital and provides excellent services.
