I have had excellent service from all but 1 of the departments I have used over the last 5 years. Breast Cancer service, and mamogram unit - excellent Thyroid specialist, radioactive iodine unit, endoscopy unit for my reflux all excellent. The only blot on the score is the ENT department! I had a hearing test in Buxton and said I wanted a follow up (if needed) at chesterfield not Stepping Hill and not before a certain date due to the RAI treatment. I was sent an appointment for Stepping Hill during the time i was radioactive! I got my appointment changed to Chesterfield, and attended on the said date. I booked in with the nurse, who came up to me 5 minutes later and asked me if I had booked in (!) then when I saw the doctor (who did not even bother to introduce himself) I requested a copy of the letter he was going to send to my GP. My GP recieved a copy but as of today - over 4 weeks later - I still have not had my copy yet. There is also a letter in my notes from myself requesting copies of all my hospital letters. I would recomend all departments - apart from ENT!
