Anything else?
I was reticent to take myself to A&E and waste A&E staff time for starters. I was dealt with efficiently and politely by reception. Attended to by a fairly serious however helpful Triage head nurse within 20minutes and moved to a room within 1 hour. I waited a further 2 there waiting to be seen due to emergencies taking priority but when I was seen. It was good, patient and in depth. I was explained things in detail and had the head Consultant assist. I left feeling relieved and empowered slightly over my situation. Overall I found that A&E was busy but staff from ambulance staff, to reception, nurses, doctors and other hospital employees were polite, friendly and efficient. Even the cafeteria lady was friendly. She had closed 10minutes prior but spared us 2 minutes a for some caffeine and juices- all with a nice smile and a kind word. I appreciate the efforts the QE2, Welwyn Garden Team, make. It is hard on their budgets, with their resources and their old building to be on the front foot but they seem to manage pretty nicely on the various occasions I have been there. C sections, broken ankle, eye check ups, baby fevers and other minor ailments. No complaints. Thank you team A&E on today's help. Elena
