"Wheelchairs"

About: Southampton General Hospital

(as a carer),

Every time I go to the Southampton General Hospital, there seem to be no wheelchairs at all for the patients to be moved around.

I go to the main reception and all I am told is there's a shortage of them and basically to find one if I can. If you as a visitor do find one, then I'd recommend you keep hold of it. In my opinion, they're like gold dust.

I am sorry to read your feedback regarding a shortage of wheelchairs. We do recognise this has been a problem and have recently purchased an additional 38 wheelchairs which we envisage will be in use within the next month. I hope in the future your experience of visiting the hopsital will be much improved.
