"Treated with such care and dignity"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

Anything else?

I had surgery last week to remove pre cancerous cells. The nurses were all very helpful, attentive and caring who were getting us ready to go down to theatre. There was ample time to ask any further questions and the nurses had a good sense of humour which was keeping all the ladies waiting feel at ease in between the waiting room and changing rooms. I was also offered a meeting with my surgeon who explained my results from my leep exercision better than I could ever imagined. It really put me at ease how knowledgable, professional, happy and friendly all the staff were. The anaesthetist were very thorough, checking through my records, making sure I felt well and again were very calm, friendly and professional. The staff on F1 which i recovered on were very attentive, I was offered tea or coffee straight away, assisted to the bathroom, water given and a lovely fresh lunch given. Checks were completed often and they communicated with my next of kin keeping him informed. I only needed a short stay in F1 but the staff were fantastic, especially one trainee who couldn't do enough for you, and always had a smile.
