I was refered to LGI for treatment to an injured finger on Monday (19/8/2013) arrived about 12.30pm I left after 3 hours with nothing at all, except a we will give you a phone call later. Wednesday (21/08/2013) got a phone call at home, can you get here for 7.30 pm? Yes! at 4.45pm, another call from doctor can you get here for 6.00pm we want to try a cast on for your injury,Yes! Arrived at 5.30pm £2.80 paid to park, on the ward at 5.40pm We find out the doctor had gone home. My blood pressure taken and a chat with a nurse ensued. 2 hours later my wife had to put another £2.80 in the meter, meanwhile a chat with a doctor resulted in "I will have a chat my colleagues" at 9.30pm I left the ward with a big fat nothing! no time, and no money!! a total waste. The opinion of other patients, who had been there a lot longer, was that this ward is a dump for A&E, so as to keep the time targets set for them. this needs sorting P.D.Q. I am not a happy person.
