Anything else?
I had been waiting for an operation on my knee for a little while, I got a call on the Friday and had my op on the Tuesday. I arrived at 11.30 am as arranged, the receptionist was very polite and friendly. Within minutes a nurse called me and I was taken through to have all the usual observations done. After a very short while I was seen by my surgeon followed quickly by the anaesthetist. Both were extremely friendly and took the time to explain what they was going to do and when. By 1pm I was taken through to the operating theatre where I was put to sleep ready for the procedure. At 2pm I awoke to two lovely nurses in the recovery unit who assured me that everything had gone to plan. I was taken back to the small and friendly ward where I was given a cup of coffee and toast (the best I had had for a long time) Shortly after my surgeon appeared and showed me the pictures they had taken from inside my knee and explained the next step. By 3.15pm I was on my way home. What really surprised me was that I received a phone call from the hospital the next morning to check that I was ok, I have never known service and care like that before from any hospital. I would highly recommend the POW hospital to anyone, and rest assured that you are in very very good hands. First class service.
"Excellent service"
