"Thank you ward 25"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Anything else?

My dad has been looked after in ward 25 , excellent care and on both occasions( July 2012 and August 2013) he has been given a very good care which we are very grateful. Just had slight problem with the discharge , it was delayed for over three days. One thing I must mention here as it is very important, most of the staff have been excellent and they have can do attitude and they never seem to stressed at all and always happy to help. Just had problem with one Auxiliary Nurse, they were very condescending to the patients and on many occasions their attitude was verging towards insult. I did not see much of them but I noticed on three different occasions they neglected two patients and walked away from them whilst they needed help with their soiled clothes. when I mentioned that to the staff nurse she quickly brought another assistant and they helped those patients . I personally think this kind of Auxiliaries should not be working in this acute care , where as others are doing an excellent job and work really hard . I must appreciate the rest of the staff and their dedication , hard work and the difference they are making in this busy and challenging ward. Thanks ever so much
