"Eating and drinking properly"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a relative),

My father is a patient, he is in his 70's and gets confused and forgetful at times due to his illness. He is underweight yet no-one reminded him to go to the food trolley for dinner and by the time he realised there was only mash potato and gravy to eat. He was offered some awful sloppy turkey type food which he had the previous evening on the surgical assessment unit but that looked like cat food and tasted disgusting.

I thought in hospital they were supposed to make sure you eat and drink properly but that's not our experience at Heartlands.
