"Cancer of the oesophageal"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

The one word any person dreads is CANCER and my family and I are no different, it was confirmed in late January and since that day mine and my family have been in turmoil.

Maria my assigned nurse was amazing she helped us all begin to cope with whatever laid ahead, Jane then took over as an operation came closer, throughout my various scans ect I was put at ease and even when my first op was aborted [ reaction to either gelofusin or morphine? ] I was put in the picture and all my questions answered.

I cannot fault my care in any way I asked for the same team to perform the re-booked op and they changed their arrangements accordingly [ I cannot thank them all enough ] the nurses were superb in my after care I love them all please give them all a huge thanks from all my family but especially me.
