"Treatment and discharge from Nayalnd Ward."

About: Colchester General Hospital / General medicine

(as a carer),

A place of great contrasts, some staff absolutely brilliant, some far from it. Some indifferent to patients wanting bedpans or cleaning after non supply of asked for bedpans. Some staff appear to put their problems and pressures onto patients and visitors. It is such a frustrating, noisy place.

Discharged with incorrect medication and dietry advice after being prescribed Warfarin which ended with further readmissions, certainly not a place I would reccommend to anyone.

I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience.

We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers.

We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if you could contact us at info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk

Many thanks
