Due to all the bad press regarding hospitals at present i thought it would be just to leave a review. I would like to thank the staff at the childrens jungle unit and especially the amazon unit night shift nurses after my little sister suffered a hand injury caused by a horse standing on her little finger. The service at the A & E department was also excellent. The amazon unit night shift nurses were extremely friendly, caring and accommodating ensuring we were well looked after whilst also reassuring my sister. I went up to theatre whilst the anaesthetic was administered and the theatre team & were also fantastic with her! Due to being a 4.5 hour drive from home we were offered a small suite to get some sleep and shower in the morning for which we were very grateful. The orthopeadic surgeon who performed the operation was unbelievably fantastic and highly informative & once again highly reassuring which calmed my sister and mum. This man is an exemplary credit to his profession. I was also extremely impressed with the housekeeping, the children's unit is spotless & the cleaners are relentless. I would like to thank all the staff involved for their professionalism & care. My sister will now be transferred for further plastic surgery I sincerely hope the next hospital is of the same extremely high standard.
