"WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED - the manners ..."

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What could be improved

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED - the manners of some staff to patients. Why should patients be spoken to as if they are just a number - EVERYONE deserves the right to be spoken to like human being. Why should a member of staff be allowed to walk into a bay of six beds and make rather loud rude noises - that is belching and passing wind. She never even aplogised for doing this, just laughed about it with her colleague.

I am disappointed to hear about your recent experience in our hospital. I am sorry if a member of staff has acted in this way - it is not acceptable behaviour. We would like to put this right. Please contact our complaints department on 01246 512640 and speak to one of our advisers, or email complaints@chesterfieldroyal.nhs.uk

Please be assured that we take all complaints very seriously.

Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
