"Miscarriage"

About: Crawley Hospital / Urgent treatment centre East Of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency East Surrey Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

Terrible! My husband was told he couldn't accompany me to A&E at east surrey when the ambulance picked me up.

At the hospital after I'd given a urine test and sat down the first thing I was told was that I would have to find my own way home. I didn't have a problem with that. I was miscarrying and was sent to the early pregnancy unit upstairs where I waited to be seen by a doctor, I waited from 4pm to 5. 45pm. The two nurses there did not once ask if I was ok after I'd told them I was in pain and bleeding. The doctor told me that I couldn't get an emergency scan until 2 days later. I left the hospital with the worst experience there at East Surrey Hospital. Luckily, the next day I had quickly gone to another A&E Hospital in East Sussex and I received the best treatment and service from each and every staff there.
