About: Sandwell General Hospital

Anything else?

Visited A&E approx 10am yesterday as my mum had been admitted after collapsing at her workplace. All the staff we encountered were polite, sincere and had a caring attitude and gave the highest level of care I have ever experienced in an NHS Hospital. In particular the doctor who dealt with my mums case was exceptional, he was very warm and sincere, he was efficient and very competent in his thorough assessment and took the time to make my mum feel comfortable and reassure all of us as anxious family members. The doctor is a true credit to the hospital as he makes patient care a priority and takes pride in doing his job to a high standard. I would not hesitate in recommending Sandwell General to other members of the public and in particular hope they are fortunate enough to receive the care of this doctor.

Thank you for your great feedback. It is always pleasing to hear that somebody would recommend one of our hospitals to others, but what is even more pleasing is to hear that our staff have made a patient and their family’s experience of being in hospital the best it can be. These experiences are what we always look to be the benchmark in our Trust, and to hear that you and your Mum felt this way is excellent. Toby Lewis, Chief Executive
