About: Milton Keynes Hospital

Anything else?

On Tuesday 11th June I had cause to take my husband to see our GP who booked an appointment for him there and then at the AECU. Neither of us knew what it was, where it was or that it even existed. I have never had any personal issues with the hospital, having received excellent care whenever I have needed it, but I am aware of the bad publicity it has received in recent times. To those who have complained I would recommend a trip to the AECU. I have never been cared for so courteously, so thoroughly and so willingly - and I wasn’t even the patient. All the necessary tests were carried out, we met with a consultant to discuss the results of these and received information about an outpatient appointment all in the same visit. We even had tea made for us. The whole experience filled my husband with great confidence - a health boost in itself - and we have nothing but praise for whoever invented the concept of this kind of ‘one-stop A&E.’ Well done to Milton Keynes General Hospital! Kate

Thank you very much for your positive comments regarding the Acute Emergency Care Unit (AECU) at the hospital. It is always very much appreciated by staff when patients and their families take the time to give feedback on their experience and your comments will be shared with all staff involved. Milton Keynes Hospital would like to apologise for the length of time it has taken to reply. Thank you.
