About: Helston Community Hospital

Anything else?

I was first referred to Helston community hospital physio team back in February,i was suffering with back and nerve pain down my right leg.As i was walking in,the first physio i saw could see i was walking very uneasy, she sat me down and asked if i had been MRI'D,i hadn't,so she said "i refuse to touch you until you have been MRI'D",she put me down on the urgent list and had the MRI within 2 weeks.. I had the MRI and found out i had a problem with my L5/S1 disk which was hitting a nerve, hence sensation down my leg.I believe the physio's professionalism saved me alot of time in the early stages of my incident,as my GP wasn't interested in sending me for an MRI.. I had the operation 11 days ago,I had my first appointment since the op with the physio team at Helston and i really cant fault them, friendly, attentive and very knowledgable staff,i would recommend them to anyone.
