"Fast and effective pain relief ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Fast and effective pain relief administered by A & E staff soon after arrival.

What could be improved

Gastroenterology has no specialist consultant. It can take 9 months to see a doctor. Medication has to be requested even though a flare up of a condition has been identified. Risks are not outlined to patients mainly because a perforated bowel is not considered too much of a risk! Patients receive no monitoring whilst on steroid treatment, its up to you to know the side effects etc and contact the hospital accordingly. I could go on and on.........

Many thanks for your comments. We would be interested in talking with you, if you have not already contacted us, as your points are very specific and difficult to answer on an anonymous website.
