Anything else?
Whilst walking along the beach on Sunday 11th August 2013 my 5 year old daughter was bitten on the face by a dog, due to blood and screaming we were all in shock, but for excellent help from the RNLI we went the short distance home and phoned the NHS help line who informed us to take her to north Tyneside hospital and she would be seen under a hour we arrived at the hospital around 8 pm. We booked into A&E and sat down it was not busy, after half hour my daughter was assessed and I was told that their was a childrens waiting room around the corner were we could sit, there is nothing in it the tv does not work no toys and a old computer game is not in English. We waited 2 more hours before I asked a member of staff, what is happening as the place was filling with drunks and numerous people coming in with a police escort, not what I want my 5 year old daughter to see. After waiting more time we saw a doctor who was very good, and she was given advice and tablets and we left around 11.30pm. This is not good enough, there is nothing in place to tell us waiting times or for children to play with.
