What I liked

i myself also went into kettering general to have my baby!.

i liked the fact that some of the staff were very helpfull and infirmative they took aslongas u needed to sit and explain everything to you!.

What could be improved

My child was premature by 6 weeks, so naturaly they were concerned, more than others!. when i went into labour without even asking me they took me into the labour ward and gave me an injection without asking me first it made my contractions stop n i myself within 5mins had fallen into a deep sleep that i did not feel the further contractions and servere pain i was in. I was taken bk up to a ward the next day to wich my waters broke two days later but the person doing the rounds said they hadnt, infact they had, another 3 days later i was induced to wich i had no say in anything, they didnt tell me information that i needed to know about the birth!. There was no communication between the staff on the ward to the scbu(special care baby unit) wich led me taking my daughter there twice a day for injections caused by my waters being broken for so long!. she wouldnt eat anything and the midwife was very pushy and wouldnt support my decision to give up breast feeding and switch to bottle, she ended up having a bad case of jaundice to where even hereyes were yellow!. i think there could b alot more done to that hospital as even the labour room i was in, it had woodlouse crawling over the floor and dead ones swept into the corner still with the brush, i was in the same room for 13 hours and the floor hadnt been swept once!!!. i feel as the times go that hospital will continue to fail in most aspects, oh and another thing, the midwife i had even LIED to me about how sereously illl my daughter to keep me in hospital with consent!.
