"Another link in the chain has only delayed the matter"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

Considering my GP requested an urgent appointment, I am very concerned that I have not yet been offered an appointment date.

I now have to wait for my local hospital to contact me with a date - therefore no need for TRAQS - another link in the chain has only delayed the matter.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

I am sorry that we were unable to offer you an appointment date at the hospital of your Choice. TRAQS appreciate how frustrating it is for patients when we are unable to offer an appointment date at the hospital of their Choice. Unfortunately due to capacity issues at our local hospitals we are currently having to place patients on a waitng list with the hospital. and consequently we are unable to give any indication of how long the wait is likely to be. This is due to the fact that the hospitals are responsible for releasing appointments to us and I am sure you can appreciate that this situation is outside TRAQS control. We offer patients all available dates at a selection of hospitals but appreciate that it is not always possible for patients to travel further for an earlier appointment.

If you would like to discuss other options to be seen elsewhere for an earlier appointment please do not hesitate to contact TRAQS and a member of the team will be happy to discuss all available options with you.

Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
