"Total knee replacement"

About: Leighton Hospital

Anything else?

Over the past two years I have suffered considerable pain and had gradually become crippled by a knee problem. In 2013 I was admitted to Ward 9 – Orthopaedics Elective for a total knee replacement in my right leg. The operation was performed, and now I am able to walk again. I am very grateful to the many people at Leighton Hospital who have helped me with their wonderful and cheerful expertise.

Thank you for your posting. We are pleased that you are progressing well following your Total Knee Replacement and that you are now pain free and able to walk again. Lack of mobility and constant pain are very common prior to a Total Knee Replacement and we are pleased that you have had such a good experience at Leighton Hospital and were looked after well by all of the staff during your stay. Our best wishes for your continued recovery. Sue Sarson, Acting Modern Matron
