"Excellent care at Minor Injuries Unit"

About: Cromer Hospital

Anything else?

My 9 year old son broke his leg (tibia) on holiday, and we went to the Minor Injuries Unit at Cromer Hospital where we received excellent care. We were seen quickly, the break was identified as being complex, needing referral to Norwich Hospital. The links to Norwich Hospital were efficient and my son's X rays were E mailed to and examined by the Orthopaedic Team at Norwich Hospital quickly establishing that he needed to be admitted. The staff took a great deal of care to ensure he was comfortable for the journey, including coming out to the car to make sure he was positioned well. When we arrived at Norwich hospital we were accepted on the children's ward and his care started immediately as a result of the effective passing on of information. We would like to praise the systems in place and the excellent care from the staff.

We are pleased to hear that you and your son had such a good experience both at Cromer Hospital and at the NNUH - a copy of your feedback has been passed onto the Sister of Buxton Ward to circulate it to their team. Hope you son's leg is mending well.
