"Terrible experience"

About: Manor Hospital

Anything else?

The Walsall Manor hospital looks like a good hospital from the outside, but thats about it. Staff were fairly sympathetic to my condition but i feel i did not recieve the best treatment that i could of had whilst trying to communicating to staff via the telephone about fears of complications from my operation. They gave me the wrong extension number, didn't admit me back into hospital when i should of, this resulted in me going to hospital the next day anyway, the consultant merely offering appoligies for her and her teams mistakes. The nurses incompetence for not knowing anything about my condition and for me having to tell them that they needed to take blood from me and to refer me onto another hospital only because i had goggled it. Why would you put a pediatric doctor on a early pregnancy and gynecology clinic? I feel the hospital is not designed well, clearly didn't have all patients in mind. The wasted space which could of been used for private consultant rooms away from other patients to save me from seeing them and have that upset. I would not put any woman through the heartbreak and upset when they kept sending me to the ultrasound baby clinic with all the mothers to be looking at there scan picture whilst there are unused rooms upstairs on the ward which i had to go into anyway, And for finally the lack of patient confidentiality whilst in a clinic on a ward where all of the patients could hear the staff discussing my case. I would never voluntarily go back to the hospital again due to the bad treatment and bad memories there. The most comfort they offered me was a leaflet on counselling. I would never recommend this hospital to family friends or strangers as no woman should go through what i had to go through due to the mistakes made by the staff at this hospital.
