Having attended Dews Hosp on Fri 2nd Aug for a gastroscopy I can't praise the team on the Boothroyd Unit enough. Their care and service was excellent. I arrived feeling quite anxious about a not a very pleasant procedure, the receptionist was efficient but friendly and the nurse who collected me from reception was lovely. I explained my anxiety and we had a chat about the procedure and what to expect, it really helped calm me. The team who performed the procedure were lovely, it really isn't pleasant having a camera passed down your throat but they were so supportive, helping me concentrate on my breathing and keeping calm. A cup of tea and toast after, really needed after 9 hours of fasting and I was away from the hospital in just an hour. A huge thanks to the nurse and the rest of the team for making this so much easier than it could have been.
