my wife had our son in march 2012. she was called in to delivery suite numerous times and when they finally decided to keep her in, she was in labour for 3 days. despite the pain she was in, no extra action to inducue was done to the 11pm on the thursday nigth they gave an epidural after being there 2 nights already. eventually at midnight they said she was fully dilaited but little man wasnt delivered to 4.46am with complications which hadnt been picked up during routine and scans on the one extra scan she needed at 35 weeks. she was sent to early pregnancy unit where most of the women up there unfornuatley where being told they had lost there baby and a 35 week lady was walking round it was disgraceful. no food was provided in dleivery suite for the 3 days had to take stuff in until she was on ward, had to use the restauarnt in the main hospital for one breakfast and it was vial. due to complication she had to have a catherter fitted for 16 weeks and since being took out still has bladder problems and after a recent gynogaulgy appt they admittd it is from the tear she suffered at delivery and hould have been rectified sooner. mum went in at end of july to a&e with a broken femer to a&e on a saturday night a&e was brill did all they ould at first then took them 4 hours to send her to ward told her no food or drink as she was on opertions list for sunday at 1:30 on sunday they went to her on ward 35 that operation was now monday would you like something to eat the food was awful so took in each day in some sandwiches and bits as the egg mayo sandwich was soggy that they provided then they said nil by mouth sunday night at midnight and they ok took her down at 3pm and came back up at 5:30 then got given something to eat 15 hours with no liquid or food took a full list of medication and doses and when she takes them on sunday afternoon at visiting and they refused to give her any of her meds till they verified the information with the doctors on monday morning today friday nearly a week on spoke to the dr and he said sun/mon she can come home, then spoke to the physio and she said she doing well soon as she has the comode at home which was the only thing she needed as got everything else for her care needs she will be able to go home so got a comode sorted and went up tonight and the nurses say she cant go home till monday because the ot need to see her to check she has everything and told them she got everything and they said thats fine but the ot needs to confirm it but they dont work weekends and there is none on call. went mad i said to them she can get better treatment at home than here and you have got 1 bed on the ward avalible what happens if you get 2 people in tonight or tomorrow and the reply was we'll discharge someone who can be dischargfed i said point proven and walked out of the ward before i attaked someone as i suffer from mild-severe depression whcih can change to the situation word of advise avoid maternity & avoid ward 35
