Anything else?
My first experience of the Ridgeway Birth Centre was in July 2010 where the friendly staff helped to bring our eldest into the world. The midwives were brilliant and when I had to stay in due to jaundice on the little man the lead midwife who had delivered him came to visit us on the ward when she was off shift. Like most new parents we worried about everythign when we finally got him home and took him back to A&E the following day when the tango effect failed to subside. We were seen within 5 minutes and transferred to the paediatrics department where once again the staff were firendly, reassuring and pretty terrific. I had my second son in August last year - again at the RIdgeway. It was a bumper night for them but I still had lots of attention when I wanted/needed it. I even had my own private midwife as I'd signed up to be a case study for a student. I am very sorry that the midewife services are being transfered to Barnet and I do not believe the quality of care will be the same for mums that have not been afforded the option of delivering at Chase Farm.
