About: Basildon University Hospital

Anything else?

I have a fertility appt and it doesn't say whether I should bring my husband or not. I call my consultant's secretary to find out. Her voicemail says she's on vac and call some other secretary. I call the other secretary her voicemail says call the appointments team. I call appointments team, they say to call the original secretary. I say she's on holiday, maybe you can give me my consultant's email address so I can email. She says they don't have email. I am amazed, then she says the consultant doesn't read them always, I say ok I'm willing to try. She says I can't give you the address, I ask can you email him for me?, she says no. I thank her for lack of help. She puts the phone down on me. My husband will now have to book time off work (in addition to the 5 sessions that he has already taken between Nov and July while they have done basic tests) that may not be necessary. What a waste of time. - why don't they just say on the appt. who needs to attend.
