Would recommend Lydney Hospital for any possible surgery. Had operation at 4-30pm I returned home at 6-30pm and had roast beef dinner . Slight discomfort first night otherwise Sat. and Sunday no pain at all. Stopped taking recommended pain killers after 2 days as not needed Slight bruising now clearing after4 days. Scar is very thin and is hardly noticeably Now 5 days after the operation I cannot believe how completely normal I feel . No doubt the surgeon's skill was the main factor and I am 73 years old also this was my first ever operation. I am so glad I chose Lydney Staff on ward 5 were superb they made you feel so relaxed The whole experience was completely faultless. Well done Lydney and District Hospital
