What I liked
My name is Mark, I Attended the Clinical Haematology Department in supporting my mother, Dorothy, was was recently diagnosed with a Lymphoma.
From her diagnosis to her latest appointment, where she was given the marvellous news that her Lymphoma had been shown to be cleared, I cannot emphasise enough how totally impressed both my mother and I have been impressed with the care, commitment and extreme professionalism show by the team treating my mother.
I would like to pay particular praise to my mother's specialist. His care and professionalism , along with his clarity and honesty with my mother , and indeed myself was outstanding. From the early "dark days" through to our latest appointment , he has been nothing short of an example of how someone in his position should be. Exceptional.
The team of Nurses and support staff within the Haematolgy Department that have cared for my mother through her Chemotherapy were without exception, outstanding. To name a few may be unfair , however I would wish to mention two staff who were absolutely wonderful with my mother. I cannot begin to think of how my mother would have coped without their support.
I would aslo like to praise another member of staff , who was a endlessly cheerful support to my mother through her treatrment.
It is doubtless in part due to the care and attention of this team that my mother has arrived at her positive outcome. For that I shall be forever in the specialist and his teams debt.
Thank You.
What could be improved
Our entire treatment and experience at the University Hospital Trust , from diagnosis to this date has been outstanding.
